Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking an experienced 2nd shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a food processing facility in the Greater Madison area. The role pays $31.00/hour plus premium overtime with time-and-a-half after 8 hours and double-time on Sundays, along with a full benefits package.

The position focuses on maintaining high-speed lines, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding tasks within a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Verifiable 1+ year maintenance experience in a fast-paced production setting.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG) for machinery repair.
• Comfort operating in a GMP-compliant food processing environment.
• Stable work history with good attendance and reliability.
• Residency within a daily 45-minute commute of Greater Madison, WI; US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed processing lines and packaging equipment.
• Service conveyors, drive assemblies, and gearboxes; optimize performance.
• Inspect and overhaul fluid power systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Perform structural welding to modify frames and guards as needed.
• Ensure sanitation and GMP compliance in all maintenance activities.
