Connectly Recruiting in Wisconsin is seeking a 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a food processing facility near Madison. Comp base pay starts at $31.00/hour with premium overtime, plus a full benefits package; overtime structures include time-and-a-half after 8 daily hours and double-time on Sundays.

This role focuses on high-speed conveyors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and mechanical drive assemblies, with welding/fabrication as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ Year Mechanical Maintenance Depth: Verifiable experience maintaining and repairing machinery in a fast-paced production setting, with core strength in hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.
• Fabrication & Welding Fundamentals: Demonstrated ability to perform basic structural welding, torch cutting, and metal fitting for machinery repair applications.
• Regulated Facility Readiness: Full comfort working in a food-safe processing environment with a strict personal commitment to workplace cleanliness, safety standards, and GMP compliance.
• Proven Tenure & Reliability: Stable employment background showing strong daily attendance, safety dedication, and solid teamwork with past employers.
• Local Commute: Residence established within a comfortable, daily 45-minute driving radius of the Greater Madison, WI area.
• Compliance & Legal Authorization: Must be a United States Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).

Responsibilities

• Maintain High-Speed Processing Lines: Troubleshoot, repair, and perform emergency breakdown fixes on high-speed packaging equipment and processing cells.
• Service Conveyors & Drive Assemblies: Rebuild and optimize complex conveyor networks, belts, sortation lines, gearboxes, and drive assemblies.
• Diagnose Fluid Power Systems: Inspect, overhaul, and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems safely.
• Execute Structural Modifications: MIG/TIG welding to modify machinery frameworks and fabricate brackets and guards.
• Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Ensure equipment and work areas meet sanitation guidelines, safety protocols, and GMP.
