Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a candidate for the 2nd shift to clean and maintain operational areas of the mill, assist with loading ingredients and receiving as needed, and ensure a safe work environment adhering to Tyson policies. The role includes groundskeeping and basic maintenance tasks, with lifting and standing for extended periods.

The position requires up to 60–100 lbs lifting with assistance, willingness to work holidays and weekends, and residence within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

• Six months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12 months.
• 1 year feed mill experience preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill and sign off when completed.
• Assist with unloading ingredients from rail cars/trucks.
• Clean up feed spills.
• Perform ground-keeping duties using mowing/trimming equipment.
• Use and maintain air-powered cleaning tools.
• Use high-pressure water hoses to clean areas of the feed mill.
• Move pallets of ingredients with a pallet jack.
• Wear required PPE including ear protection.
• Work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments with exposure to ingredient dust.
• Work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required.
• Work in elevated areas following safety procedures.
• Comply with Biosecurity Guidelines and avoid avian species.
• Maintain good housekeeping in service areas.
• Communicate with Operations, Customers and Vendors as required.
• Follow Tyson Health and Safety protocols.
• Lift up to 60 lbs and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Stand, sit, walk, climb stairs for long periods.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
