Job summary

Douglas Dynamics, LLC is seeking a Fabrication Operator to join our manufacturing team in Michigan. The role focuses on operating lasers, press brakes, and finishing equipment to produce metal parts according to specifications, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will communicate with team leads, participate in continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to on-time delivery with accurate record keeping.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints/specifications.
• Must be able to read and understand calipers, micrometer, and protractors.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Operate lasers, press brakes, and finishing equipment to cut, bend, and finish metal parts per specifications.
• Identify and correct problems with assigned equipment; run test cycles and perform quality audits.
• Maintain safety, quality, and throughput as required; communicate daily with team lead on safety, quality, and delivery opportunities.
• Keep work area, tools, material, and equipment clean and orderly; track production data daily.
• Willingness to operate all Fab equipment after training and perform other duties as assigned.
