Atrium Health is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Technician for 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30pm) in Shelby, NC. This role maintains clean, safe facilities for staff and visitors, handling waste, restocking, and routine cleaning tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Starting pay is $18.50/hour with benefits and opportunities to advance. Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and be capable of operating cleaning equipment while following infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Approximately 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work timely.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to establish cooperative working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas (dusting, sanitizing, washing windows, floors).
• Restocks restrooms and replaces light bulbs; reports repairs.
• Handles waste: trash, linen, sharps, recycling, and hazardous waste.
• Keeps equipment clean and reports mechanical issues to maintenance.
• Adheres to infection control guidelines and safety procedures.
• Attends in-service training and meets deadlines.
