Georgia-Pacific in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Electrical Technician to support safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment in a climate-controlled facility. This role requires a strong electrical background with the ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Starting pay ranges from $45.50 to $51.00 per hour (includes a $2 shift differential).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of verifiable experience as Electrical/Mechanical Technician in an industrial setting.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and control wiring.
• Commitment to safety and following electrical/mechanical best practices.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical equipment to improve reliability and throughput.
• Perform predictive and precision maintenance to identify and correct mechanical and electrical defects before equipment failure.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain motors, drives, starters, sensors, and control circuits.
• Read, interpret, and troubleshoot from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical prints.
• Diagnose electrical failures related to AC/DC motors, VFDs, and control systems.
• Maintain operations equipment to meet customer demand.
• Support safe startup, shutdown, and recovery activities.
• Apply OSHA electrical safety standards, including lockout/tagout and arc-flash awareness.
• Partner with operations and mechanical technicians to minimize downtime.
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support standard work, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
