Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Darlington, SC is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will maintain and repair electrical and control systems on manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot issues, and work to improve reliability and uptime.

The role involves a 12-hour rotating shift, indoors in a climate-controlled environment, with lifting up to 50 lbs and potential overtime. A $2/hr shift incentive applies to all hours worked.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years electrical technical degree OR 5+ years experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Experience with maintenance plans, parts procurement, and documenting work.
• Experience with single and 3-phase electrical repair up to 480 V.
• Experience entering work orders into a CMMS or maintenance system.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs, and motor drives.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance on manufacturing assets (printing presses, conveyors, robots, packaging equipment).
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical/controls problems per plant policies.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures to improve reliability and uptime.
