Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Technician in our climate-controlled Phoenix, AZ facility to support safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment. This role requires a strong electrical background to troubleshoot, diagnose, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical systems in a fast-paced environment.

You will join a team focused on improving equipment reliability, throughput, and safety, with 2nd shift (2pm-10pm), weekend flexibility,

Qualifications

At least 3 years of verifiable experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Technician in an industrial setting.
Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical systems.
Strong knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, sensors, control wiring and machinery.
Commitment to safety and to electrical and mechanical best practices.
Role includes 8-hour shifts with possible overtime up to 16 hours per incident.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery to improve reliability.
Perform predictive and preventive maintenance to identify defects before failure.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain motors, drives, starters, sensors, and control circuits.
Read and troubleshoot from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical prints.
Diagnose electrical failures related to AC/DC motors, VFDs, and control systems.
