Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Swedesboro, NJ, is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for electrical and control system upkeep in food manufacturing equipment. You will document systems, diagnose issues, and coordinate electro-mechanics across shifts, with some offsite support as needed.

The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, familiarity with Rockwell/Siemens/Mitsubishi software, and strong reading of control documentation.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• High school/military training and practical experience in a related field.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system design documentation.
• Working knowledge of control system projects, including machine layout, control drawings, P&ID, and basic troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
• Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical or control-related issues.
• Provide training and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across all shifts as needed.
• Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on process and control systems including networks, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics.
