Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Wirer for the 2nd shift to assemble heater unit product codes and fabricate components per work order, blueprint, and spec. The role supports our Electric Heat business within a manufacturing setting.

You will lay out wiring, mount control units, connect electrical components, and ensure quality through testing and adjustments. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a loud environment on a diverse team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• ASME brazing procedures certification (BPS-B1, BPS-B2, BPS-B3, BPS-B4, BPS-B5).
• Ability to stand, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a loud environment with moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Lay out diagrams for electrical installations per wiring specifications.
• Drill and tap holes for mounting control units.
• Attach breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers and insulators.
• Paint product as necessary and install/wire thermostats and options.
• Fabricate bussing and solder connections; test and adjust electrical components.
