Job summary

Fortress Nutrition is seeking reliable Packaging Line Operators for our Dry Powder Operations in Milwaukee. The role runs 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM) with three-day weekends and potential overtime for extra income.

You will set up, operate, and maintain packaging equipment (fillers, sealers, x-ray, metal detectors, scales, coders), perform real-time quality checks, and document results per GMPs. Team-based, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in food manufacturing with GMPs and sanitation knowledge.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain packaging equipment and related machinery.
• Make equipment adjustments to meet specifications.
• Perform quality checks (bag visuals, seal integrity, coding, weight).
• Complete MMRs and production records in real time following GMPs.
• Monitor equipment and product flow and address faults promptly.
• Report production concerns to supervisor or lead.
• Follow GMPs, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support overtime or weekend work when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
