You will provide technical guidance, monitor daily progress, and ensure fair workload distribution. The role emphasizes hands-on supervision, safety, and productivity, with opportunities for professional growth within a well-established network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years’ related shop and technician supervision experience.
• ASE Master Certification program; Diamond Certification Program; Cat, Cummins, Eaton, Fuller, or other manufacturer certifications.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified diesel mechanics.
• Assist diesel mechanics in developing their skills with support of the Service Manager.
• Schedule repair work and assign technicians to segments matching their skill levels.
• Ensure repairs are fairly assigned to mechanics.
• Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary.
• Check progress (WIP) of each repair order throughout the day.
• Maintain high-quality repairs and minimize comebacks with spot inspections.
• Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
• Monitor mechanics’ daily productivity reports and payroll records.
