Job summary

Suffolk is seeking a Safety professional to join our team, guiding compliance with Corporate Safety and Health policies across project sites. This role focuses on creating safe workplaces, directing safety procedures, and ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.

A 2nd shift schedule is required (4pm–2am). The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in construction health and safety, and is willing to pursue CHST and OSHA trainer credentials.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related work experience in field of Construction Health and Safety.
• Willingness to achieve CHST designation within two years.
• Qualified OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Trainer.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular site inspections with Predictive Solutions software.
• Administers project safety binder and document storage systems.
• Coordinates subcontractors' Pre-Construction Safety Planning Meetings.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA/state/local regulations and NFPA/JCAHO standards.
• Reviews Subcontractors' Site Specific Safety Programs and Job Hazard Analyses.
• Attends and monitors Toolbox Talks for documentation and quality.
• Conducts accident investigations and documents reports.
• Collaborates with Regional Risk Manager on claims trends and risk planning.
• Verifies training of subcontractor personnel related to scope of work.
• Delivers OSHA 10/30 Hour, HAZWOPER, and related safety trainings.
