Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Safety Professional to oversee corporate safety compliance across project sites. You will partner with superintendents and project managers to implement policies and manage safety plans, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company SOPs.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in construction safety, OSHA trainer credentials, and a proactive approach to risk management. Core values include integrity, hard work, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction health and safety experience.
• Knowledge of Federal and State safety regulations and local building codes.
• OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Trainer preferred; CHST candidate encouraged.
• Willingness to obtain CHST within two years.
• Strong communication and field training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and document safety conditions using Predictive Solutions.
• Maintain project safety binder and documentation systems.
• Coordinate safety planning meetings with subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and local regulations across sites.
• Review subcontractor safety programs and hazard analyses before mobilization.
• Lead toolbox talks and incident investigations with proper reporting.
• Partner with regional risk management to identify trends and mitigate risk.
• Verify training of workers relative to scope of work.
• Deliver OSHA 10/30 and other safety training when needed.
