Job summary

Fidelity Investments seeks an Electrical Shift Engineer to support a 7x24 data center engineering team. This hands-on role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance, with on-site supervision of internal staff and vendors. Must read blueprints, manage safety, and ensure critical power and cooling operations.

The position offers paid overtime, shift differential, and annual bonus. Strong communication and OSHA knowledge are essential for safe daily operations.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade License plus 3 years minimum of trade experience.
• Universal EPA certification required.
• Data Center Engineering and supervision experience desirable.
• Ability to read construction prints, submittal information, and O&M manuals.
• Ability to navigate and use BMS, EPMS, and CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise inspections, testing, calibration and repairs to electrical and mechanical systems using in-house staff, vendors, and engineers.
• Direct and administer third-party vendors on-site to meet cost, time, and critical exposure commitments.
• Maintain infrastructure operations to prevent unauthorized access by staff, vendors or visitors.
• Oversee preventive and remedial maintenance on building or electrical systems to meet critical power, cooling, heating, and humidity needs.
• Prepare daily log entries with accuracy and timely closure of issues.
• Perform site inspections and rounds for completeness and accuracy.
• Switch to standby generators and bypass UPS during alarms per procedures and communicate actions.
• Operate fire detection and suppression systems safely and follow protection procedures.
