Job summary

County of York is seeking a Custodian to maintain daily operations and custodial care of County buildings and grounds. This role provides support to County departments under supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Facilities Director.

Second shift includes a $1.50 per hour differential. The job supports multiple areas including restrooms, offices, break areas, lobby, atrium, and exterior spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain interior and exterior building areas for cleanliness standards.
• Perform basic custodial tasks as directed: clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, break areas, elevators, lobby, atrium, holding areas, parking and exterior areas.
• Properly and safely use related tools and equipment.
• Assist in other departments and interact with co-workers as directed.
• Understand and complete required paperwork and forms for work requests, safety reports, preventive maintenance, and other documents.
• Utilize all safety practices and report unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
• Comply with York County policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
