Job summary

Northern Middle School in York County is seeking a full-time custodian. The role includes cleaning, maintaining facilities, operating and securing buildings, and supporting events. Pay starts at $15.30/hour with a $0.75/hour premium for second shift during the school year, plus district benefits.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or 3 months related experience) and background clearances. Evening/weekend work and physical duties are part of the job. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required, or 3 months related experience and/or training.
• Clearances required: PA State Police-Act 34, Child Abuse-Act 151, FBI Fingerprint-Act 114, plus Act 126 training on hire.

Responsibilities

• Daily custodial cleaning/preservation of facilities, spaces, equipment, and furniture.
• Maintain work records and prepare work reports as directed.
• Provide custodial/maintenance services for curricular and extracurricular events.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment; update usage data.
• Seasonal cleaning and security duties including opening/closing buildings.
• On-call or overtime for emergencies, and other duties as assigned.
