Job summary

Northern Middle School in the Northern York County School District is hiring a 2nd Shift Custodian. The role involves 8-hour shifts with a shift differential of $0.75/hour during the school year, and full-time district benefits.

The position focuses on keeping facilities clean, safe, and functional to support the educational program, with duties ranging from daily cleaning to security and event support.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED or 3 months related experience and/or training is required.
• Clearances per Act 34, Act 151, and FBI Fingerprint-Act 114 must be provided on hire and updated every five years.
• TB test required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Daily custodial cleaning and preservation of facilities and spaces.
• Maintain work records and prepare reports as directed.
• Provide custodial/maintenance support for curricular and extracurricular events.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for daily cleaning.
• Ensure building security, including opening/closing and keeping doors secure.
