NorthKey Community Care in Covington, KY is seeking a PART-TIME 2nd shift National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Crisis Intervention Specialist. The role is on-site at 502 Farrell Drive, with shifts 4:30 pm to 1 am on Tue, Thu, Fri (weekends/holidays rotation possible).

Salary $17.40–$18.40 per hour, plus benefits. Responsibilities include screening for suicidal intent, de-escalating crises, coordinating with emergency services, and documenting interactions.

Qualificações

• At least 1 year of working with individuals experiencing crisis and/or crisis intervention services required.
• Bachelor's degree in human/social services highly preferred.
• Prior experience answering National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988) calls is a plus.
• Excellent listening skills, crisis de-escalation skills, and building rapport with individuals in immediate crisis.
• Familiarity with the Northern Kentucky region preferred but not required (counties listed).

Responsabilidades

• Actively screen for suicidal intent and assess safety.
• Use nonjudgmental, compassionate communication and active listening to de-escalate crisis.
• Work under pressure with individuals in immediate crisis who could be at risk.
• Document interactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide resources based on assessed needs (utilities, homeless services, food pantries, housing, etc.).
• Provide follow-up support to high-risk callers with suicidal or homicidal thoughts.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors for quality care and crisis resolution.
• Support concerned third parties (family, coworkers, etc.).
• Coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
