Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials seeks a skilled Controls Technician to join the Maintenance team on second shift in Carlisle, PA. You will maintain and improve control system reliability for automated production equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support downtime recovery while following safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires hands-on electrical and control systems knowledge, experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and a strong collaborative approach to maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus technical school training or certifications (PLC, Machine Logic).
• 5+ years as a control technician in industrial manufacturing.
• Technical military training considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting for electrical/automation issues on the shift.
• Install, configure, maintain, or replace industrial control devices (HMIs, VFDs, PLCs).
• Respond to downtime events and drive problem-solving actions.
• Support preventive/predictive maintenance programs and new equipment startups.
• Select and procure necessary hardware upgrades.
