Job summary
Carlisle Construction Materials seeks an Electrical Controls Tech for its Franklin Park, IL maintenance team. This role monitors and improves automated production equipment control systems and supports troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
The ideal candidate has PLC knowledge, experience with Allen Bradley controls, and CMMS/SAP proficiency, with a practical approach to electrical and mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing setting. Travel is up to 10%.
Qualifications
- Experience as a control technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of PLC language (ladder logic, structured text, sequential function charts).
- Familiarity with CMMS, SAP and MS programs; strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
- Process and production equipment troubleshooting.
- Monitor plant downtime events and drive problem solving.
- Support preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
- Assist with equipment installation coordination/supervision.
- Repair or rebuild control devices and calibrate components.
- Communicate issues with Controls Engineer.
- Maintain electrical control systems on equipment including HMIs, VFDs, PLCs.
