Job summary

Clarios in Missouri seeks an engineer to continuously improve plant processes and equipment, including PLC design changes and Six Sigma initiatives. The role covers maintenance cost reduction, uptime improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead process improvement projects, source vendors, manage external engineering deliverables, and support capital projects while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Combination of lower degree with work experience 2-5 years.
• Understanding of Project/Program Management Methodologies.
• Must possess good communication skills with the ability to communicate across multifunctional teams through all forms of media.
• Working knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic required.
• Proficient in Excel, Power-point, and other related programs.

Responsibilities

• Continual improvement of plant processes and equipment including design and PLC changes, Six Sigma variation reduction, uptime improvements, and maintenance expense reduction.
• Leads plant teams in development of process improvements.
• Sourc es vendors, defines SOWs, and manages contract deliverables for external engineering sources.
• Provides technical support for plant operations including maintenance support, capital project implementation, and Six Sigma rollout.
• Acts as liaison between plant and Division Engineering for needs, reporting, and process changes.
• Monitors processes and new equipment to ensure performance to specifications; implements capital and non-capital projects.
• Works with quality control and manufacturing to ensure processes meet quality and engineering standards.
• Reviews new/modified specifications and schedules their introduction into manufacturing.
• Identifies causes and develops strategies to eliminate downtime.
• Assists with OSHA and EPA compliance.
