Job summary

Clarios is hiring a Manufacturing Controls Engineer – Night Shift for our Middletown Distribution Center. You will be the primary engineering support on the night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM, 2‑2‑3).

Expect hands‑on troubleshooting of PLC, electrical and mechanical issues to keep battery production running smoothly. You will work with maintenance technicians to drive uptime, reliability and continuous improvements in a fast‑paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming changes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
• Ability to work independently as the sole engineer on shift, supporting production in real‑time.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering support on the shift, diagnosing PLC, electrical and mechanical issues.
• Diagnose and minimize downtime to ensure continuous operations.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting and minor program changes to address process issues.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Drive continuous improvement focused on uptime, reliability, and process optimization.
