Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a CNC Steel Fabrication Operator in York, PA for a contract-to-hire role on the 2nd shift. You will set up and run CNC coping and cutting machines, inspect parts, and move finished components with cranes and forklifts.

Starting pay is $22.00/hour with a $3.00 night differential; higher pay may be available based on experience. Responsibility includes reviewing shop drawings, performing programed tasks, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced fabrication

Qualifications

• At least 2 years CNC machine operation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and dimensions.
• Hands-on with machine setup, tooling changes and basic troubleshooting.
• Proficient with measuring tools like tape measures and calipers.
• Familiarity with cranes and forklifts in a fabrication setting.
• Strong attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC coping and cutting machines to process structural steel components.
• Review drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Move materials using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Complete programmed coping, cutting and drilling tasks.
• Check finished parts for accuracy with measuring tools.
• Change tooling and perform basic machine adjustments.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support daily production goals.
