Job summary

Candidates must have hands-on structural steel fabrication industry experience and prior foreman or supervisory leadership. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities on a second shift

Qualifications

• Experience in the structural steel fabrication industry.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or foreman experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes and industry practices.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and deadlines.
• Ability to work second shift, overtime, and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shop employees and enforce safety procedures.
• Oversee daily fabrication activities, staffing, equipment, and material needs.
• Maintain production schedules and fabrication plans to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate deliveries and communicate status with other departments.
• Develop and communicate standard fabrication procedures.
• Monitor workmanship and enforce quality control standards.
• Review production processes and suggest improvements for efficiency.
• Coordinate with project management, logistics, purchasing, vendors, and suppliers.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and facility conditions.
• Balance workloads across the shop and report staffing concerns.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate material needs with other shifts and management.
• Determine work hours and staffing requirements to meet delivery commitments.
• Make operational decisions that support company goals and customer requirements.
