SRC Automotive in Springfield, MO is seeking an Advanced CNC Operator for 2nd shift to operate mills, lathes, grinders, presses, and CMM equipment. You will set up tooling, verify tolerances, and perform daily maintenance while supporting continuous improvement and safety protocols.

The role requires 2+ years in a manufacturing setting, basic math and measurement skills, and ability to work cross-functionally with a team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a fast-paced manufacturing line.
• Ability to perform basic math and conversions.
• Ability to read metric and SAE standards.
• Experience using hand, air, and power tools.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Good relationships with team members in a collaborative environment.
• Basic computer literacy and BOM retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Operate mills, lathes, grinders, presses, drill presses, and CMM to produce parts within tight tolerances.
• Set up machines, establish offsets, maintain tooling, and adjust equipment as needed.
• Inspect outputs visually and with gauges for conformity to specs.
• Review CMM reports to determine adjustments and verify accuracy.
• Troubleshoot basic production issues and report non-routine faults.
• Maintain department housekeeping and adhere to safety rules.
• Support continuous improvement and open-book management initiatives.
• Assist in other production areas as needed.
