Job summary

Lorien is seeking an experienced 2nd shift CNC machinist in Huntsville, Alabama to operate CNC/PLC-controlled equipment in a high-volume production setting. You will ensure quality, safety, and productivity while troubleshooting and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years CNC machining experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work any shift. Competitive hourly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years CNC machining experience.
• Ability to work any shift and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to successfully complete a skills-based assessment and interview.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and PLC-controlled machinery to manufacture precision components.
• Monitor equipment performance and production data using computerized systems.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime.
• Conduct tooling changes and monitor tool wear to maintain quality.
• Document quality issues, scrap, and rework per procedures.
• Verify compliance with procedures, control plans and quality standards.
• Enter defect and production data into company systems and maintain records.
• Review equipment conditions and identify potential production issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and quality.
• Train and support other technicians to ensure adherence to standards.
• Follow safety procedures and utilize PPE.
