Job summary

A CNC Machinist position in Bethlehem, PA is open for second shift. The role pays $25.00–$30.00 per hour DOE, plus $1.50 shift differential, with a 2:00 pm–12:00 am schedule Monday to Thursday.

Key tasks include reading setup sheets, loading programs, selecting tools, and verifying first-piece quality to ensure specifications are met. Applicants should be able to change tooling, pull down programs, and maintain accurate counts while following safety and QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machine operation, blueprint reading, quality inspection processes and safety standards preferred.
• Must be able to change tooling and pull down programs when required.

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands setup sheet, specifications and drawings to determine setup procedures, machining sequence and dimensions.
• Attaches fixtures to machine and positions the workpiece per setup instructions.
• Selects and installs proper cutting tools.
• Loads programs in machine control unit or retrieves instructions from database.
• Manipulates controls to index tools and start machining.
• Observes machine operation to detect malfunctions.
• Changes cutting tools and workpiece location during machining as specified.
• Measures first piece for conformance and monitors quality with AQL methods.
• Maintains counts and follows barcode and paperwork flow.
• Adjusts feed/speed and changes cutters as needed.

2nd shift CNC Machinist | Bethlehem, PA

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE) plus $1.50 shift differential

Monday-Thursdayfrom 2:00pm-12am

Responsibilities:

• Reads and understands setup sheet, specifications and drawings to determine setup procedures, machining sequence and dimensions of finished work piece.
• Attaches fixtures to machine and position and secures work piece in fixture according to setup instructions.
• Selects and installs proper cutting tools.
• Loads programs in machine control unit or enters commands to retrieve machine instructions from database.
• Manipulates controls and enters commands to index cutting tool to specified set point and to start machine.
• Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
• Changes cutting tools and location of work piece during machining process as specified in instructions.
• Measures and inspects first work piece for conformance to specifications and quality standards. Continues to monitor quality using AQL procedures and methods.
• Maintains accurate counts and follows bar code and paperwork flow procedures.
• Adjusts machine feed and speed, and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications when needed.
• Knowledge of machine operation, blueprint reading, quality inspection processes and safety standards preferred.
• Must be able to change tooling!
• Must be able to pull down programs to run!
