Adecco has partnered with a global manufacturer to recruit a CNC Set up and Operation Technician for the 2nd shift in Portland, MI. You will prepare, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components.

Responsibilities include mounting tools and fixtures, editing G-code, inspecting first pieces with calipers and micrometers, and maintaining production quality while troubleshooting basic machine issues. Starting pay is $21.96 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up CNC mills/lathe operations
• Ability to load/edit/edit G-code and set tool offsets
• Familiarity with first-piece inspection using calipers or micrometers
• Proven ability to ensure parts meet blueprints and work-cell performance targets

Job description

Adecco has partnered with a global tier-one manufacturer specializing in steering and suspension linkage components seeking to add a CNC Set up and Operation Technician to their 2nd shift production team.

In this role, you will prepare, program, and run computer-controlled machine tools to cut, shape, and turn metal or plastic into precision parts.

Core Job Duties:

Machine Setup: Mounts and aligns cutting tools, fixtures, and raw materials into CNC mills, lathes, or turning centers.

Programming & Adjusting: Loads, edits, or writes G-code programs and dials in tool offsets. Make minor tooling changes or adjustments when necessary to ensure proper quality.

Quality Control: Inspects the first machined piece using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions match blueprints. Maintain acceptable levels of performance as measured against work cell benchmarks. In addition, provide input relative to continuously improving the overall production performance of the work cell

Operation & Monitoring: Runs production batches, watches the machining process, and adjusts controls if parts go out of tolerance.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Fixes basic machine errors, performs routine upkeep, and solves production issues

Equipment Operation: Set-up and operate a variety of equipment. Operate one or more production machines, within any given work cell, which requires a moderate amount of training.

This role is 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and starting pay is at $21.96.

Pay Details: $21.96 per hour
