Job summary

This full-time, direct-hire role requires 5+ years in a job shop or production environment, strong tooling/fixturing knowledge, and the ability to read drawings and inspect parts

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience in a job shop or production environment.
• Proficient in CNC equipment setup, tooling, fixturing, and machining processes.
• Ability to interpret drawings and perform precise inspections with measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills/lathes), including tooling, fixturing, and entering machine offsets.
• Load CNC programs and perform first‑piece inspections to verify parts meet quality and tolerance requirements.
• Adjust offsets and interpret G‑code/M‑code, making basic CNC program edits to maintain accuracy and productivity.
• Run production jobs independently and transition stable processes to CNC Operators when ready.
• Work with castings and precision components while following all safety and machining best practices.
• Support daily machining and production needs to ensure smooth operations.

1st shift CNC Machinist needed in Bethlehem, PA

PeopleShare is partnered with a well-established company on their search for a CNC Machinist.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday -Friday 6am-2:30pm
• Pay Rate: $26-31/hr
• Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills/lathes), including tooling, fixturing, and entering machine offsets.
• Load CNC programs and perform first‑piece inspections to verify parts meet quality and tolerance requirements.
• Adjust offsets and interpret G‑code/M‑code, making basic CNC program edits to maintain accuracy and productivity.
• Run production jobs independently and transition stable processes to CNC Operators when ready.
• Work with castings and precision components while following all safety and machining best practices.
• Support daily machining and production needs to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, plan machining strategies, and perform precise inspections using measuring instruments.
• Strong understanding of G & M codes and ability to modify programs when needed.
• Ability to meet physical demands: standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing required PPE.
