Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machinist 2nd Shift to join our team at our Colorado Springs, CO location. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, setup, and operation of a variety of machine tools including CNC Mills and CNC Lathes.

You will be responsible for setting up and running a wide range of operations, verifying dimensions with fixtures and gauges, and supporting aerospace manufacturing with precision parts.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of reading engineering drawings.
• Operation of CNC lathes (primarily), provide backup operations on CNC mills and other manual equipment.
• You will be expected to set up and run machines on a wide variety of operations involving multiple machines that convert raw materials to precision finished goods within print tolerance specification.
• Use fixtures or gauges to verify dimensional checks.
• Experience in the manufacturing of large aerospace components from exotic materials is a plus. 5-axis and/or mill-turn experience.
• Applicants must be able to work on different projects in an ever changing, rapid paced environment with little or no assistance.
• Performs other duties as required and available for overtime as necessary.
