Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility seeks a Production Manager 2nd Shift to lead a stand-alone facility working on a hypersonic weapon system and other DoD/aerospace projects.

As part of the site leadership team, you will oversee machinists and technicians, ensure 5S and process discipline, and drive continuous improvement. US citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Prior exposure to precision machining and assembly processes.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Understanding of GD&T.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of machinists and production technicians, including quality and engineering support.
• Maintain shop organization and 5S, with weekly 5S audits.
• Provide effective passdown between shifts.
• Collaborate with production control to ensure on-time delivery.
• Work with Manufacturing Engineering to improve production flow.
• Coordinate with Quality to resolve nonconformities and drive closure.
• Identify and escalate production roadblocks and risks.
• Ensure adherence to written production processes.
• Support execution of continuous improvement projects and metrics.
