Job summary

Novolex, Bedford Park, IL, is hiring a CNC Machinist for 2nd shift with a strong focus on setup, operation, and precision 3–5 axis milling. The role requires experience with Fanuc or Mazak controls, G&M coding, and Blueprint reading.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate and weekly pay, with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining safety, conducting first-run inspections, training peers, and ensuring accurate documentation in shop software.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.
Machinist Certificate or MIMS preferred.
3–5 years CNC vertical machine tool setup and operation for complex precision components.
Fanuc and/or Mazak control experience.
Ability to read blueprints and apply shop math.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines in 3, 4, and 5 axis configurations; simple programming at the controls.
Ensure proper blueprints and setup parameters; troubleshoot with shop leadership.
Inspect first-run and in-process parts for accuracy and quality.
Train other department personnel on essential tasks and provide feedback to the shop manager.
Maintain clean and safe work area; perform housekeeping of production spaces and equipment.
Accurate record-keeping in shop floor management software.
