Job summary

Novolex is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for the Bedford Park, IL facility on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 8 hours, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM). The role requires setup and operation of CNC mills (3–5 axis), G & M coding, and precise inspection of parts.

Minimum 3–5 years in CNC milling with Fanuc/Mazak controls is expected, plus blueprint reading and shop math proficiency. Competitive pay ranging from $32.34 to $36.50 per hour with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Higher education in machining preferred (Machinist Certificate; MIMS)
• 3-5 years of CNC vertical machine tool setup and operation experience; 2D/3D mill tooling setup
• Fanuc and/or Mazak control experience; learn 4th axis setup/programming
• Experience with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, indicators, calipers, height gauge, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Strong shop math skills; able to work with minimal supervision
• Manual machinist skills are a plus; overtime flexibility

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines in 3, 4, and 5 axes; perform simple programming at the controls
• Perform G & M coding
• Communicate setup parameters and troubleshoot with shop leadership
• Inspect first-run and in-process parts
• Train other department personnel and provide feedback to shop manager
• Maintain clean, safe manufacturing areas; perform housekeeping
• Maintain accurate records in shop floor software
