Job summary

Insight Global seeks a 2nd shift CNC Machinist to set up and operate horizontal boring mills for large, complex components. You will load tooling and programs, perform test cuts, and adjust speeds and feeds to meet strict specifications.

You must read blueprints and edit machine programs without a dedicated programmer. Experience with precision measurement tools and large equipment is highly valued in a rigorous manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must have experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Ability to edit programs at the machine without programmer assistance.
• Experience operating CNC machining equipment with precision measuring tools.
• Experience with large components, weldments, or heavy industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC boring mills to machine large, complex components to precise specifications.
• Load tooling and programs for machining operations.
• Perform test cuts and verify dimensions.
• Adjust machine settings, speeds, and feeds to optimize quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished parts against engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor tooling conditions and perform routine machine maintenance.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
