Job summary

PBI-Gordon Companies is seeking a Chemical Batching Technician I for the 2nd shift (12:00PM–10:30PM, Mon–Thu). You will formulate liquid chemical products, unload and stage raw materials, fill batch tanks, and monitor quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Must work with minimal supervision and follow safety protocols.
• Able to lift 55 lbs and participate in batch processes.
• Must complete hazardous material and hazard communication training.
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
• Strong verbal communication to report changes or emergencies.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety of the team and environment per safety programs (LOTO, confined space, lifting).
• Learn raw materials and storage locations used in manufacturing.
• Read batch tickets to determine materials and quantities; stage materials accordingly.
• Operate valves, pumps, agitators, and equipment for batch fills and transfers.
• Perform batch fills, corrections, and transfers with proper techniques.
• Collect samples for lab analysis during batches.
• Operate hoists for material dumping with proper rigging.
• Interact with process controls and HMIs to add materials during mixing.
• Obtain forklift certification and follow safe driving practices.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues in the unit.
• Load and unload bulk tanker trucks and raw material containers.
• Maintain clean work area and high housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
