Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Production Attendant to prepare packaging per customer specifications and maintain accurate records in a GMP environment. You will ensure safety and efficiency of the cheese packaging process while adhering to quality standards.

The role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, ability to work a fixed shift from 2:00PM-3:00PM start to 10:00PM-11:00PM end, and willingness to work overtime as needed. Join a team dedicated to food safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Can consistently push, pull, and lift between 20 and 40 pounds.
• Work with frequent bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, and maneuvering around manufacturing equipment.
• Can continuously stand or walk on a concrete surface.
• Can work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
• Display traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.
• Have basic analytical and numerical skills and the ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Can communicate effectively and efficiently.
• Have a working knowledge of Safety Methods and Procedures.
• Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.
• Are committed to food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo.
• Ability to work in manufacturing environment with noise and changing temperatures.
• Physical lifting up to 40-lbs unassisted frequently.
• Working with chemicals, wearing PPE, and following chemical handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures including GMP, SOP, HACCP, SSOP, and H&S.
• Efficiently package cheese into desired packaging material; communicate out-of-spec conditions following protocol.
• Assist in setup of the packaging process, including machinery, printers, labels, and ingredients.
• Quality checks to assure packaging matches the production sheet.
• Read and comprehend production worksheets.
• Keep work area neat, clean, and organized at all times.
• Enter data on production reports.
• Attend mandatory safety and departmental meetings.
• Able to rotate into all positions on the line.
• Box and palletize boxes with accurate counts and identification.
• Sanitize lines when needed.
• All Saputo employees to follow safety policies and contribute to SFQ program.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
