Job summary

Amsted Automotive - Piston Pin Facility is seeking a full-time Lapper Operator on the 2nd shift to set up and operate twin-grip or grinding equipment in a manufacturing environment.

You will monitor tolerances, use SPC charts, perform basic maintenance, document records, and assist teammates as part of continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications include High School or better and prior manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate centerless grinders and set up twin-grip or lap grinders.
• Gauge and monitor production to tolerances and quality.
• Recordkeeping and paperwork; use of SPC charts.
• Assist operators and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean.
