Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Grinder for the 2nd shift in California to operate centerless grinding equipment and inspect precision parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. You will set up machines, select wheels and tooling, perform wheel dressing, monitor quality, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Operate and set up centerless grinding equipment.
• Perform precision measurement and inspection using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Follow SPC procedures and maintain production records.
• Work with quality, production, and engineering teams to meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate centerless grinding machines in manual and automatic environments.
• Select and install grinding wheels, blades, and tooling as required.
• Perform wheel dressing and machine adjustments for quality and efficiency.
• Read blueprints and manufacturing specifications accurately.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Monitor production quality and adjust machines as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Collaborate with quality, production and engineering teams to meet customer requirements.
