Job summary

CBRE in Cleveland is hiring a Building Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems in a healthcare education facility. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and safe, compliant operations on a Monday–Friday 2nd shift with on-call rotation.

You will perform repairs, follow codes, maintain energy management, and support safe, efficient building operations while mentoring teammates and upholding CBRE's

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more and meet physical requirements.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficient system operation.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building systems to ensure operation meets design and environmental specifications.
