Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems is seeking a Blast Technician / Material Handler for the 2nd shift at our York, PA facility. The role supports 6S, quality-controlled documentation, and safe operation of powered equipment including forklifts.

You will read complex drawings, prepare parts, manage blast centers, and coordinate material handling with cross-functional teams while maintaining PPE and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of related experience in manufacturing.
• Blast experience and material handling.
• Shipping/Receiving experience.
• Forklift driving experience 1-5 years.

Responsibilities

• Read complex mechanical drawings and prepare parts from prints, standard work, and routers.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Document quality-controlled tasks and proper handling of finished products.
• Maintain blast centers and PPE compliance and safety practices.
• Transport inbound/outbound material and operate forklifts.
