Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Assembler for the 2nd shift in York, PA. You will perform production assembly using hand tools and observe blueprints and engineering drawings to meet specifications. The role requires following SOPs/JSAs and maintaining a tidy, safe work area.

The position emphasizes teamwork, communication, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A high school diploma and prior manufacturing experience are expected, with potential overtime and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma/GED and previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates an attention to detail.
• Ability to read, communicate and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints and engineering drawings in the English Language.

Responsibilities

• Performs a combination of production assembly tasks using hand tools, small power tools, and other equipment following detailed assembly instructions to meet customer expectations.
• Reads blueprints, engineering specifications, drawings and shop orders to assemble products.
• Operates within SOPs and JSAs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with safety and environmental policies.
