Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Material Coordinator for the York, PA area to set up and operate metal fabricating machines such as brakes, shears, and presses as part of a 2nd shift. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting tooling, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring quality with proper PPE and safety rules.

The role requires a one-year certificate or 3–6 months related experience, knowledge of CNC software, and the ability to read simple instructions and shop documentation.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop orders.
• Knowledge of CNC software and PC usage.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specs, and shop orders to determine machine setup and sequence of operation.
• Selects, positions, and secures tooling and fixtures on machines.
• Positions and clamps stops, guides, and turntables; sets machining factors and speeds.
