Job summary

RTX in Bridgeport, WV is seeking a Bench Repair Technician on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:30pm-1:30am). You will clean, debur, blend, and polish parts, and set up drill presses or small lathes with a strong mechanical aptitude. Training may occur on another shift for up to 6 months.

The role requires reading drawings and operating various tools, with emphasis on safety and quality. FAA-regulated facility, drug testing, and a comprehensive benefits package apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience in aftermarket aviation, machining, automotive, manufacturing, or a similar related trades role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform various repair and rework operations on gas turbine engine sub-assemblies and related parts.
• Work from drawings, manuals, specifications and detailed instructions.
• Use gauges to check fits, alignments, clearances and other requirements.
• Operate rivet machines, small lathe, drill press and Blanchard grinder.
• Check fit/clearance, install bushings and perform shrink fitting operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and assist in tooling repairs.
