Job summary

Custom Building Products is seeking a Batch Operator for its Logan Township, NJ plant. This 2nd shift role runs Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, with potential overtime and a $1.00/hr shift premium.

You will blend chemicals, weigh ingredients, operate mixers, and ensure product quality while following safety procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating with Quality Control, maintaining batch logs, and supporting packaging as needed.

Qualifications

• Great work ethic and impeccable attendance required.
• Ability to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Experience operating automated equipment in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Follow formulas and production instructions precisely to ensure consistent product quality.
• Weigh, measure, and load ingredients into mixers and take samples for QC.
• Operate mixing and blending equipment for cement, grout, mastic, and cleaning products.
• Maintain accurate production records and shift handoff documentation.
• Assist with packaging and material handling to support production flow.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements; report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
