Job summary

Custom Building Products, a leading manufacturer of stone and tile installation products, seeks a Batch Operator for its Lithia Springs, GA plant. This role blends chemicals, loads materials, and operates mixers with a focus on safety and quality.

The position is 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM, with overtime and a $1.00/hr shift premium. Responsibilities include following production instructions, maintaining records, and coordinating with Quality Control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Experience operating automated equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior batch or blending experience preferred, but training is available.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must wear respirator and PPE per OSHA requirements.
• Must be clean-shaven for respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Follow formulas and production instructions precisely, including ingredient sequencing and raw material codes, to ensure consistent product quality.
• Weigh, measure, and manually load ingredients into mixers, take samples, coordinate with Quality Control, and adjust as needed.
• Operate mixing and blending equipment for cement, grout, mastic, and cleaning products; monitor automated systems.
• Maintain accurate production records: batch logs, maintenance reports, calibration records, and shift handoff documentation.
• Assist with packaging and material handling to support production flow.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements; participate in safety training and address unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
