Job summary

METRO INDUSTRIAL SERVICES in Manchester, TN is seeking a 2nd Shift Batch Operator to blend powders and liquids in the mixing department. This direct-hire or temp-to-hire position requires a High School Diploma and safety-conscious, reliable candidates who can lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.

You will operate a forklift, follow batch sheets, and manage materials for finished batches while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Good listening and interpersonal communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Safely operate a forklift.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Blend batches of liquids and powders following batch-picking sheets.
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
• Work safely with chemicals with varying hazard ratings.
• Pull and organize materials needed to produce finished batches.
• Perform inventory transactions in SYSPRO to ensure proper allocation and accuracy.
