Job summary

METRO INDUSTRIAL SERVICES in Manchester, TN is seeking a 2nd Shift Batch Operator to blend powders and liquids in the mixing department. This direct-hire or temp-to-hire position requires a High School Diploma and safety-conscious, reliable candidates who can lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods.

You will operate a forklift, follow batch sheets, and manage materials for finished batches while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

Metro Services is looking to immediately fill a 2nd Shift Batch Operator position for a Manufacturing facility in Manchester, TN. The Batch Operator is responsible for the blending of powders and liquids in the mixing department. This is a direct-hire or temp-to-hire position.

Duties for this position include:

• Blending batches of liquids and powders following batch-picking sheets
• Ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
• Work safely with chemicals with varying hazard ratings
• Pulling and organizing materials necessary to produce finished batches
• Perform inventory transactions in SYSPRO to ensure chemicals are allocated properly and inventory is accurate
• Safely operate a forklift to get the materials necessary to perform duties

Compensation (USD):

$20.00 - $22.00/hour depending on experience

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift
• Monday - Thursday
• 4:00 p.m. - 2:30 a.m.
• OT on Fridays and Saturdays when needed
• Will train on 1st shift, then move to 2nd shift

Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Good listening and interpersonal communication skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
• Safely operate a forklift
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting is a plus
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Frequently lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds
