Job summary

Ardent Mills is hiring an Assistant Miller for the 2nd shift at our Richardton, ND facility. The role supports the shift miller, runs cleaning operations, and ensures wheat and flour meet specifications while following Food Safety Policies and GMPs.

You’ll learn milling processes, operate equipment, and contribute to safe, efficient production. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in an industrial setting, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year in an industrial environment.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate specific phases of milling and wheat cleaning as assigned, including sanitation.
• Develop mechanical ability to assist in preventative checks and mill repair.
• Follow schedule and specifications for wheat blending and provide feedback.
• Test and monitor product through milling and cleaning processes.
• Maintain sanitation standards and provide a safe work environment.
• Maintain tools/equipment and apply 5S and continuous improvement practices.
• Document activities and inventories using computer or paper systems.
• Communicate effectively with management, team members and customers.
