Job summary

Ardent Mills in Ogden, UT is seeking an Assistant Miller to support the shift miller and run the cleaning house side of the mill. You will ensure wheat and flour meet specifications while adhering to Food Safety policies and GMPs.

The role requires adaptability to rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, with a focus on process improvement, safety, and teamwork. On-the-job training and long-term development are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent).
• Basic skills with computer applications, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new programs.
• Must be able to read and interpret instruction and technology and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Run the milling and wheat cleaning operations as assigned by supervisor, including sanitation duties.
• Develop mechanical ability to assist in preventative checks and mill repair.
• Follow schedule and specifications for wheat blending and provide feedback.
• Test and monitor product through milling and cleaning processes.
• Maintain sanitation standards for a safe, food-safe work environment.
• Maintain tools and equipment and execute 5S/AMPS standards.
• Document activities and inventories via computer or paper systems.
• Communicate effectively with management, team members and customers.
